ramblingriggs: Fourth Annual Cousins Weekend

The Fourth Annual Cousins Weekend was held this year at the Arend's cottages on Little Gray Goose Lake in Jerome, MI on the weekend of August 27, 28, 29, 30, 2015. I'm so glad that we kept our tradition going now for four years in a row. I hope we can keep it going for at least another four years as family and time together is super important. We all get busy and have our own lives, but I think it is very important to take time out of our busy schedules and spend time with those that you love.

I wanted to recap the last four years of trips that we have made together just for my own memory's sake:

Little Grey Goose Lake

We took our RPod and parked it on Aunt Lucy and Uncle Dick's front lawn. We've always wanted to take the camper up to the lake to see how well it would work and I think it worked out pretty well. My cousin Mike and his wife, Kathy brought their pop up camper too, but everyone else stayed in cottages. It was a nice mix of accommodations as not everyone is a camper.

The weather wasn't the greatest for lake activities but that was ok as we had plenty of catching up to do. We took off on Thursday night after work and since it was only a very short 40 minute drive, we were parked and set up in no time.

Each night we had an awesome bonfire, too much good food, too many drinks (if that's possible) and a wonderful time together.

I wonder what we will do in 2016? It's never too early to start planning.
